INHYUK LEE, A WELL-KNOWN INDEPENDENT ARTIST WHO WORKS WITH MARVEL AND DC COMICS, SHOWS HIS IDEA OF TRUNKS OF THE FUTURE FROM DRAGON BALL Z
Among the Dragon Ball Z characters, probably one of the ones that have most fascinated fans over the years is Trunks of the Future. This version of an alternate timeline of Vegeta and Bulma’s son had to travel to the main one.
All to avenge the death of the Z Warriors in his time, and train enough to end the evils of his world. Among them the Androids No. 17 and 18, as well as the fearsome Cell.
REIMAGINING TRUNKS OF THE FUTURE IN THE MARVEL OR DC COMICS STYLE
What happened in the Z and Superseries undoubtedly cemented his fame in the eyes of many people. Now, his adventures continue in part in the spin-off known as Super Dragon Ball Heroes, where he takes action again.
He is a character who has remained relevant over the years, and that is why he has so many followers. They demonstrate their appreciation by performing fan arts. And sometimes, among the latter, there are great designs.
Like the one, we bring you now. This is a contribution from InHyuk Lee, a freelance professional illustrator who has worked with many companies. Among them, Marvel and DC Comics, designing art for their comic book covers, as well as other tasks.
So he decided to use Trunks of the Future as a basis to create a new design. The result can be seen in the images that accompany this same note.
THIS DRAGON BALL Z CHARACTER TAKES ON A VERY DIFFERENT LOOK
As you can see, these shine for their quality. InHyuk Lee decided to show it off in his Capsule Corp uniform, his family’s company. The design is refined and elegant.
It is a vision of this author as if Trunks of the Future had jumped from the pages of Akira Toriyama’s manga, and reached some western magazine. It has a touch that is somewhat reminiscent of Marvel or DC Comics. We would not fit it directly into the aesthetics of either.
InHyuk Lee has worked with both companies on various projects. Best of all, this artist showed how he drew Trunks of the Future through a video.
By mistake, I had deleted it, but recently uploaded it again, and it is the one that you can see on this same note. It is the particular vision of this artist about how this Dragon Ball character would look in the world of Marvel or DC Comics. It is a very outstanding art.
